Internet in the context of the Church's evangelization ministry

Abstract

From the Day of Pentecost to the present day, the Church has continually carried out the work of evangelisation. Christ instructed the Apostles to preach the Gospel to all nations. Throughout the centuries, Christians have spread the Good News in different ways. In today's world, the Church has many methods of proclaiming the Message of Salvation. There is no doubt that the social media, by virtue of their possibilities, play an important role in the process of evangelisation. In the last decade, however, a new means of communication has emerged – the Internet, which is now increasingly referred to as the medium of the 21st century. The subject of this article is the theological foundations and practical evangelization work of the Church through the Internet.
