The mission of love and service: towards the fullness of integral development, on the basis of "Ecclesia in Asia",

Abstract

Jesus Christ appears as a fullness of all the values present in the various religions and spiritual experiences of Asia. He embodies something that cannot be found in any other religion. Jesus Christ reveals a God who is intimate to the human being. Jesus Christ redeems mankind. The uniqueness of Jesus Christ is the essence of Christianity and a gift for Asia. Jesus Christ is a source of greatness and dignity of every human being. In this context, the goal of the Church is to transform a social reality and solve problems according to the Gospel. This mission of the Church, which is also service for integral human development, needs a testimony of a true Christian life, while a test of Christian love is service to the poorest of the poor.
