What kind of family teaches sobriety?

Family is the first and the most important place of upbringing. This principle also applies to the upbringing of children and youth in abstinence, and adults – in sobriety. Family is also the first beneficiary of upbringing in sobriety, but, on the other hand, the first and the largest victim of drunkenness and alcoholism. Reaching for alcohol by juveniles or getting drunk in front of adults is an attempt to escape from a life that hurts instead of bringing joy and an attempt to escape from their own helplessness in the face of everyday demands. Successful upbringing in sobriety is more than just warning children and young people against the consequences of drunkenness and addiction. It is, first of all, about the faithful fulfilment of marriage vows by the spouses and parents, i.e. creating a community in which everyone loves each other and in which children learn their maturity in every sphere of humanity.
