The guidelines forthe formation of catechists in the light of Pope Francis’s Apostolic Exhortation „Evangelii Gaudium”

Abstract

The articleis apastoral reflection on catechesis in the work of a new evangelization. Specifically, it brings up the issue ofthe preparation of catechists for the ministry of proclaiming the word of Godin today’s world. The starting point for discussion was the last chapter of Pope Francis’s Apostolic Exhortation “Evangelii Gaudium”andits guidelines regarding the spirituality of the evangelizer. Numerous guidelines were collected in three thematic groups: the need for a personal experience  of Jesus and faith in his resurrection,an invitation to deepen our relationship with Jesus, and the principles that should build the relations hip between the catechist and his students
