Education in values

Civilization changes that can be observed in the world around us cause a crisis of values. We are witnesses of the so-called pluralism of values. Old, tradition-based values are slowly losing their importance. The greater connection with the tradition and teaching of the Church, the faster it happens. The dynamics of information transfer in the present world, the primacy of material values over universal ones, the attractiveness of the methods of influencing the consciousness, subconsciousness and emotionality of young, but also mature people makes them move in a dense forest of pseudo-values, often without the internal need to see the spiritual needs of their development. Education in values takes place primarily through contact with authorities who are so lacking today. And even if they are present, everything is done to muffle the voice of these authorities and prevent them from breaking through to the general social consciousness. There is no upbringing without observing specific behaviors and following specific patterns. We must boldly ask the following questions: What should be the basis of human upbringing so that it turns out to be effective and lasting? What should be done so that the actual upbringing becomes a process of accompanying a person in discovering the world of values?
