Abstract

Many social researchers come to the conclusion that modern man is a very demanding person and it is very difficult to make him happy. Is this really the case? It is sad to say that in many cases this is the reality. As Mrs. Sylwia Grzeszczak sang years ago: We are building our house on sand, price does not matter today, we have bought almost everything, but we still have nothing. We do and have a lot today, but the void is still there. We have an inbuilt need for joy, and subconsciously each of us needs it to function properly. Many people look for substitute means, most often material ones, thinking that this will satisfy the need. By giving up life in the Church community, people themselves deprive themselves of the opportunity to live in true joy. Christian joy has its source in God, only He is the guarantor of true joy. This article is intended to attempt to define joy and show how a human person can achieve this joy. How to enjoy the fruits of joy in your personal, family and social life. I want to show how, thanks to the gift of joy, we can change the way we look at ourselves and other people, as well as the reality around us. Joy has great power to transform the way we look at everything that is happening around us, it beautifies reality and helps overcome difficulties. Joy teaches you to smile, so as the author of the song quoted above says: Let’s enjoy the little things, because the pattern for happiness is written in them! To paraphrase, it can be said that the holder of this patternis the community of the universal Church, therefore, by remaining in it and living it every day, we become depositors of this pattern of Christian joy.
